Wingcopter partners with Quadsat to enhance situational awareness
The integration of Quadsat’s SpectraLoc RF sensing payload expands the capabilities of the Wingcopter 198 for defence and security applications.
Herning, Denmark, August 19, 2026 – Wingcopter and Danish technology company Quadsat are presenting a new capability for the Wingcopter 198 at DALO Industry Days: the integration of Quadsat’s SpectraLoc radio-frequency sensing payload.
The combination transforms the Wingcopter 198 into an airborne RF sensing platform capable of detecting and geolocating radio-frequency emitters. By collecting relevant information from the air, the integrated solution can provide actionable intelligence and help operators build a clearer picture of the electromagnetic environment.
Combining flight performance with advanced RF sensing
The integration brings together the proven flight capabilities of the Wingcopter 198 and Quadsat’s expertise in RF sensing technology. SpectraLoc is designed to identify and locate RF emitters, supporting operators in monitoring complex electromagnetic environments and responding to changing operational conditions.
Carried by the Wingcopter 198, the payload can cover areas from the air and provide information that may be difficult or time-consuming to gather using ground-based systems alone.
