Power Electronic Engineer / Battery Specialist (m/f/d)

Currently, we are looking for a Power Electronic Engineer/ Battery Specialist who supports the engineering team with designing the entire powertrain of our unmanned aircrafts.

 What You’ll Do

  • Design the entire powertrain (battery, controller, engine, propeller) of the Wingcopter electric VTOL aircrafts
  • Oversee the new development of a smart battery system
  • Design the overall system power supply (identify the right position of the voltage transformer, fuses, bus systems, etc.)
  • Design and develop systems and components for a battery charging and storing
  • Work closely with the avionics engineers and software teams on onboard electronics
  • Be part of the overall product development team and work interdisciplinary

What You’ll Need:

  • Master’s degree inelectrical engineering, mechatronics or similar
  • Knowledge of industrially used LiPo battery regarding to authorization, requirements, etc.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the field of powertrain electrical motors, charging systems or similar
  • Experience with embedded programming and real-time controls
  • Understanding of aviation industry preferred
